Note to eBay Customers

Thanks for visiting our site. I frequently have customers from eBay asking for my lowest price, or a break on price for quantity or multiple purchases.

Now everybody likes eBay and I use it quite frequently for personal purchases. I sell on eBay as a marketing tool and have a limited exposure there for a reason. I try to keep my profit margin very tight so that my customers aren't getting ripped off.

eBay charges about 15% seller fees, that just happens to be my markup for products that I sell on Wireman.com. So I make precious little on eBay sales and would not sell on eBay if it were not for trying to keep Wireman.com in the public eye.

Some customers think that eBay is more secure or offers better customer protection but in fact all of my transaction are through Pay Pal ( a sister company of eBay) and are protected under the same Pay Pal Consumer Guidelines and Policies.

It is a violation of my agreement with eBay as a seller to solicit sales that originate on eBay to be re-directed away from eBay and their rightful profits from those sales. Subsequently when a customer makes a purchase from us on eBay we never interrupt or interfere with that sale. We do insert a Wireman.com Flyer in their shipment in the hopes that the customer will see that we carry a full range of Specialty Tools for Professionals and that the next time they purchase from us that they will come to this web site.

Despite my innuendo and hints some folks just don't get it and repeatedly want to purchase through eBay and that is fine. Those who choose to do so will be paying those eBay fees, as I am not prepared to do so without passing the seller fees on to them. I don't begrudge eBay making a profit but I have an enormous amount of capitol and sweat equity in Wireman.com and I do not intend to surrender any of my profits unnecessarily.
