The "BendCalc" is no longer in production

Through the years I have accumulated about twenty BendCalc's that are not as precision as I would like them to be, so I did not sell them to my customers.

I test them on 30 degrees for a 25 inch offset which should be 50 inches center to center right? Well these read about 48.5 - 49 inches and if you are bending rigid conduit or EMT over 1" this could present a problem.

However if your bending small gauge Rigid or EMT it is easy to adjust to the error or to adjust the conduit and the smaller the offset the lesser the error to the point that it is usually negligible.

The manufacturer would not replace them as they thought I was nit-picking too much. I call them seconds, the manufacturer does not and they are in the same conditions that they were when they sold them to me. I simply want the best for my customers.

The truth is that if your bending 3" rigid and you don't know that the cosecant of 30 degrees is 2 then you shouldn't be bending 3" rigid conduit period.

Again, these are plenty accurate enough for any small gauge pipe EMT or Rigid and general duty work
Some have had the Cases repaied with Tape

Any Journeyman that is enmeshed with precision conduit bending of any large gauge or size pipe should never rely on a tool of this nature. Do the math and double check every measurement. Large Pipe is way too expensive to be building a scrap pile with it, so Measure Twice / Cut Once.

I am selling these seconds because I get so many request for BendCalc's while the production of New BendCalc's is pending and these are the same quality the the Maker would have sold you.
